Rosanne M. Gugino
Rosanne M. Gugino brings a wealth of real world experience to Paul William Beltz, P.C. An attorney since 1988 and a law clerk with the firm before that, Rosanne spent more than ten years in a very different, yet equally demanding field - nursing.
Rosanne was named Outstanding Student in Nursing while at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and holds a master of science degree in nursing from SUNY at Buffalo. She was published on several occasions for her research on high-risk care. Rosanne went to work as an intensive care nurse, instructor at Case Western Reserve University in graduate level nursing and nurse clinician before deciding to pursue her legal aspirations.
Today, Rosanne puts women and children first, at least as far as medical negligence cases go. She has found great fulfillment in successfully representing children with handicaps. Moreover, Rosanne has tried a number of cases involving obstetrical negligence, failure to diagnose cancer cases and cases stemming from medical and hospital errors.
Rosanne's professional memberships span both of her careers. She serves on the board of the American Cancer Society and is a member of the Birth Trauma Group, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Women Lawyers of Western New York, Women's Bar Association and Sigma Theta Tau, the honor society of nursing.
Rosanne has lectured on medical liability, health law, analysis of malpractice cases and the impact of medical errors on consumers, among others. She is a regular lecturer at the University of Buffalo and Daeman College, and has lectured at American Trial Lawyers Association meetings to attorneys who practice medical negligence.
